Note 1 - Previously
"registered" versions 2.0 and 2.01 of the old BCM
Diagnostics "shareware" products are no longer being
distributed or supported by BCM Advanced Research.
Note 2 - There is no
upgrade path from the old registered "shareware"
products to BCM Diagnostics Pro v.2.20 or v.2.30
Background - In mid 2000 BCM
Advanced Research, the world-famous motherboard manufacturer and creator
of BCM Diagnostics "shareware" products, told us that
they no longer wanted to be in the PC Diagnostic software
business.
Since manufacturing and marketing
PC diagnostic software products is all we have done since 1984,
they asked us if we would be interested in taking over the
development & marketing rights to BCM Diagnostics. We told
them we had no interest in a "shareware" product but
would be interested in converting BCM Diagnostics into a
"purchaseware" product.
After lengthy discussions we came
to an agreement for the development & marketing rights to BCM
Diagnostics. We updated it to support Windows 98 & 2000, and
then released BCM Diagnostics Pro v.2.20 as
"purchaseware". |
